Hagley Clock Clinic was founded in Hagley, West Midlands in 1978. In 2013 the business was moved to my purpose-built workshop in Kidderminster where all repairs are undertaken.
I am a sole trader, I do not have a staff to call upon to assist me in any aspect of running my business. I can be slow to respond to telephone calls and emails as I am working slowly and carefully through the jobs I have on my workbench. In order to keep my workload within manageable limits, currently I can only accept work from potential customers who are within about 8 miles of my workshop, even so I have a full order book with work for the next three months or so. This is why I cannot accept work from customers who are willing to travel to me from outside my catchment area. Please look at the map on my `Catchment Area' page before contacting me, if you do then choose to contact me, please let me know where you live.
Please note, I do not service watches, cuckoo clocks, 400 day `anniversary' clocks or mercury barometers, but I can service your barograph, aneroid barometer and many other clockwork and mechanical devices. I can supply and fit high quality, replacement German made quartz clock movements to many quartz clocks. I can supply glass for clocks including carriage clocks, and convex glass and bevel edged glass often found in mantel clocks and barometers. I can supply missing or lost components such as pendulums, weights, finials, pediments, and keys.
I can conduct a free assessment of your item in my workshop and will give you a verbal estimate of the cost of works.
If during servicing, the need for additional work becomes apparent, which would increase my estimate by more than about 10%, I will contact you for your authorisation before proceeding further.

Because of the high level of demand for my services, I operate a queuing system. Your request for attention will be recorded and in time you will be contacted - in chronological order - when I am able to accept your job. My best guess is that the waiting time at the moment is about three months, though this fluctuates.
In all cases - except Longcase Clocks (Grandfather Clocks) - you will need to deliver to me then subsequently collect your clock. In exceptional circumstances I will collect and deliver within my catchment area, for a fee.
Please look at the map on my `Catchment Area' page; if you click on the map you will see a more detailed image.
I appreciate your patience and hope you will understand that this work is delicate, time-consuming and cannot be hurried.
